The transient varies with minimum or maximum moderator feedback, manual or auto control, etc. PCTRAN can be operated in fully auto or partially manual by setting each control function’s set point. The moderator temperature coefficient is in input dataset. This run was conducted by setting power demand = 110%, reactor coolant pressure = 2160 psia, pressurizer level = 42% and Tavg = 562 F. It has reached steady state the same as Westinghouse’s case. It is interesting the latter has DNBR increase for minimum moderator feedback and decrease for maximum feedback. PCTRAN shows its DNBR decreases for this transient using the B&W2 Correlation.
